River Records Studios witnessed its first 'big' recording with the 20-member choir, ‘Indian Choral Ensemble’, directed by Kalyani Nair and Karthik Manickavasakam. The choir recorded Karthik's original composition 'Postcard'.
It was a beautiful experience to listen to the harmonic depth of Postcard rendered by this talented bunch of singers:
Sop 1 – Aparna Harikumar, Kalyani Nair
Sop 2 – Sushmita Narasimhan, Deepika Karthik Kumar,
Alto 1 – Sriradha Bharath, Nidhi Saraogi
Alto 2 – Fathima Henna, Deepthi Raghu
Tenor 1 – Pranjal Thakore, Manoj Krishna, Sudharsan Ram, Shridhar Ramesh
Tenor 2 – Manikandan Chembai, Aditya Ganesh, Arshith P Kurian
Bass – Riddhiman Dutta, Ragu B, Neeraj M Selva
The recording took place in Studio C, our 20-ft high ceiling recording room while Studio A was used as the control room. The sessions were conducted by Karthik Manickavasakam and supervised by Aditya Ravindran. Sean Bout, our Chief Engineer set up and recorded the session.
